Another good read by Ms JohnsonFirst we have a lopsided engagement, then a hazardous carriage accident, and then a disastrous encounter at a ball How one calm young lady can involve herself in so many mishaps could be comical, save for one factor Her rescuer is always the same handsome fellow How could she not fall wholeheartedly for this guy Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention he s titled, too Great read, Ms JohnsonThanks
A mixed bagThis book is composed of two short stories I would rate the first a one star, an awful read for me due to poor editing and use of words and phrases that weren t in common use until the 1960s.I would rate the second story, Christmas Mystery of the Heart, a four star read Much better editing results in a smoother read I was able to enjoy this one completely. Both stories are clean reads.
Would have received higher marks except for proofing errors.
