I had high hopes for this one but in the end found it very disappointing David is unable to accept the loss of his wife but knows he needs to marry Sounds good to me The heroine is a bit annoying but then she sees his finer and decides she likes him So fast forward to getting married and David goes downhill for me from there He is ridiculously grieving his late wife to the point that it seemed bizarre He can t seem to understand why Amelia is unhappy at the end too He is rude to her, cold, depre [...]
I really enjoyed this book The characters felt very real in the situations they were facing I know some people felt like he loved his first wife too much, but I think that was what made his character real He was someone who had been truly in love with his wife and he was afraid of betraying her memory, betraying what they had shared It takes time for him to give into his attraction and eventual feelings for Amelia They faced problems that a real couple would face.
Amelia and David Both sister Margaret s villain and the major family villain cause havoc as several story lines merge The Earl of Castledon takes center stage although he still mourns his wife and thinks the youngest Andrews daughter, Amelia is too immature for a wife, his attraction and circumstances bring them together Very good read.
TRULY GREAT REGENCY ROMANCEWe could not put this one down until it was finished Amelia first seemed spoiled and a little brat, until you realized that she really had her sister s happiness in mind and thought she was really in love herself The storyline characters are first rate, thank you for a remarkable story, Danny and Debbie Scott.
Ten hours into this audio book and I just can t waste my time on the last 1.5 hours I kept waiting for it to get better but it s just waaaaay too melodramatic Maybe it s aggravated by the narrator The hero is just getting jerkier and jerkier I don t care what happens to tie up this story and I no longer care about the dramatic arc of the rest of the series I m done.
More of the same is not always a bad thingFollows the same tried and true formula as the previous books By now the characters are fleshed out and you truly care for them I like that this book didn t end in another pregnancy which is usually a go to ending for most books like this Another fabulous quick read
